Our story

We built the thing we kept wishing existed.

Repaired started with two people who loved each other and still couldn’t get through the same argument twice.

Who are we

A real couple, with real problems.

We’re 26 and 30, both AI engineers. Earlier in our relationship we got into a big fight — and did the thing that quietly makes everything worse: we confided in the wrong people. Each of us pulled in someone who didn’t have the full picture, none of the intricacies of our relationship, and it only escalated things.

So we did what any pair of geeky tech people would do — we built a solution for ourselves. We’ve used Repaired to work through our own problems privately for the past two months, refining it as we went until it actually felt right. This is brought to you by a real couple, with real problems. We’ve resolved so many of our differences gracefully since, and honestly, our relationship has felt repaired ever since.

Finally, someone impartial to confide in.

The same fight, on a loop

We're two people who have been in each other's lives for a long time — through the good stretches and the ones where the same disagreement kept resurfacing in slightly different clothes. We weren't bad at caring about each other. We were bad at being heard by each other. Every hard conversation seemed to reset to zero, and we'd both walk away feeling like the other person just didn't get it.

2

We were both already talking to an AI

At some point we each noticed we were doing the same quiet thing — venting to ChatGPT after an argument, asking it to help us phrase what we actually meant, then paraphrasing its answer back to the other person. We were basically running two private mediators in secret and manually relaying between them. It worked better than nothing, which is exactly what made it so obvious: why is there a human copy-pasting in the middle?

3

Therapy helped — but it was slow and expensive

We tried the traditional route too. It helped, genuinely. But so much of it was spent getting someone up to speed on history they weren't there for — retelling the same backstory, paying by the hour for context we already had sitting in our chat logs. The insight was great when it came. Getting to it just took months and a lot of money.

4

So we made it a real thing

Repaired is what we wished we'd had: give each person their own AI that actually knows their side, let it turn a messy brain-dump into something the other person can hear, and only share what you've approved. The two AIs meet in the middle so neither of you has to be the messenger. It's private first, consent-gated always, and cheap enough that money is never the reason you don't work things out.

“Most arguments aren’t about who’s right. They’re about someone finally feeling heard.”

— why we started Repaired
